Application to DREAM-Math

Note that the steps do not need to be done in order. However, getting to work on the Praxis II, Mathematics (5165) should be a top priority!

Before you get started, fill out this screening survey.

Step 1. Take the Praxis II Exam

In order to be fully accepted into the DREAM-Math program and the graduate school, you will need to achieve a passing score on the Praxis II Exam for Mathematics (5165), which is 160 for the state of Alabama. Provisional acceptance is possible with a score below 160.

Step 2: Apply to Graduate School

You will need to complete an application to the Auburn University graduate school for admission to the M.Ed. program in secondary mathematics.

Step 3. Apply to DREAM-Math

You will need to complete an additional application to become a Teaching Fellow in the DREAM-Math program. This will include your confirmation that you meet the eligibility requirements for selection established by the National Science Foundation and that you agree to abide by the conditions for the program established by the National Science Foundation.
